About Us

The Eritrean Elders Welfare Association (EEWA) is a registered charity with a proud legacy of thirty years dedicated to supporting the Eritrean elderly community in the UK. Since our founding in 1994 and our official registration as a charity in 1997, we have tirelessly worked to create a supportive, inclusive, and enriching environment where elders can live with dignity, maintain strong connections to their cultural heritage, and experience a true sense of belonging.

EEWA was founded by visionary leaders who recognised the unique challenges faced by Eritrean elders and the need for a community-focused organisation to address these issues. Today, we honour their legacy by offering a diverse range of services designed to promote well-being, strengthen community engagement, and preserve cultural traditions for future generations.
